You are babysitting a child and there is a special restriction. The child has PKU and you have never before heard of that. PKU, stands for "phenylketonuria" This child's body cannot use protein foods which contain phenylalanine or "pine" the same way other children do. Sometimes we say this child is "allergic" to foods containing protein and pine, or we say this child is on a "special diet".es_ES
